I love a great ghost story and this one tops the list. I admit, I bought the book because I was curious to see how the author merged time travel with a ghost story. To me, it seemed impossible, but by the end of the read I was yet again reminded of what a truly imaginative writer can accomplish. The main storyline was quite captivating. I read morning, noon and night to see how the heroine's life would be saved (spoiler alert). And the sub-plots were just as engaging. I won't spoil the sub-plots by sharing how they wrapped up but I will say the secondary characters made me laugh with their eccentricities and the spooky parts raised my hair but were not Halloween scary. Great suspense, fully developed characters, and a satisfying end equals five stars. This is a great read for readers of ghost stories, lovers of a good romance, and lovers of a great story told well.Product details

This is a haunted house story that creeps up on you and stays spooky and mysterious without jumping out at you and yelling "boo." It's a fine addition to the supernatural genre.
Loved the book. Spent the night in room 218 at the Crescent this past summer. Michael didn't visit but got a strange photo of spirit outside our room on the porch. Took the ghost tour so I could relate to the .characters very easily
This is such a wonderfully imaginative story that takes the reader to unexpected places and characters. Definitely a book any reader will have to finish. This is a very enjoyable and suspenseful book. Congratulations Goldie on such a great success.

I had never read a ghost fiction before. I ordered it, because I know the author and wanted to see what sort of a book she had writte. I, who normally only read at bedtime, I read this book even during the day, which means I put everythig on hold in order to fiish the book. In other words, I could not put the book down. It is a real page turner. Night Jourey is one of the best and captivating books that I have ever read. Goldie, with her rich and vivid narration, has brought the supernatural world alive for the reader. I highly recommend this book to everybody, even to those who don't believe in the existance of ghosts.

Let's be honest; I am not a fan of ghost stories. "Night Journey" was recommended to me by someone with judgment that I trust so I gave it a try and was captured by the writing and the storyline. While I am not a fan of ghost stories, I do like time travel. I read time travel stories as a cynic, looking for errors in the space-time continuum. Most writers make them; Ms. Browning writes like she made the journey and is accurately reporting on what she saw. It was an all-together enjoyable ride and I recommended "Night Journey." Thanks to Ms. Browning I may have to reevaluate my thoughts on ghost stories as a genre. I look forward to her next book.

History, romance, mystery, paranormal, time travel, past lives. This book has it all. And, some comedic relief sprinkled throughout. The story that the writer conveys takes the reader through time, while staying rooted in the present. Utilizing the rich history of the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and the surrounding area the writer skillfully crafted a fictional love story that was multilayered. As a reader of history I was particularly satisfied with the author's successful approach to weaving many historical facts into the storyline, thereby lending credibility to the time-frame the writer describes; I found myself looking up many of the historical aspects and in doing so broadened my own knowledge about those times/places/people (ieCCC). This book would be a wonderful gift for Father's Day, a great read for that vacation at the beach this summer, an engrossing tale to take-in on a stormy night, or as in my case a fantastic way to spend my afternoon on my deck. One thing I will caution you on, though be prepared to not be able to put it down 'cause it is a good old fashioned page turner, for sure!
